Chubby Bunny Farm is a small family farm in Northwestern Connecticut. The farm is 50 acres of tillable land, pasture and hay land. We currently use about 10 acres for sustainable vegetable production. The remaining land is used for permanent pasture, hay fields, greenhouses and barns. We believe diversity is important for the total health of the farm. To complement our wide variety of vegetables we raise laying hens, a few pigs and keep a family cow and her companion. Last year we also planted an apple orchard. The farm is protected by a Nature Conservancy conservation easement. This ensures that the land will remain farmland and protected from development in perpetuity.
We have a 140
member Community Supported Agriculture program.
Our CSA members join the farm for the season by
paying in advance for their share of the
harvest. For six months starting in June our
members pick up their harvest share at the farm
or at our distribution site in New York City.
We also attend 2 farmers markets in Sheffield,
MA and over the mountain in Norfolk, CT.
